IS HUMAN RESOURCE TO BLAME?






I'm still wondering how it actually came about that this man who undergone recruiting processes and background research by human resource manage to pull it through and be employed for a job that paid him a salary of about 2m per year while not qualified. It is said that the alleged man ( Hlaudi Motsoeneng ) who lacked a matric certificate has been working as an acting officer over SABC acting chief operations, oh well!  I'm pretty sure you can imagine how demanding that position can be for somebody who doesn't even own a matric certificate!

Two scenarios come to mind;
One: a poor parent in a shack in telling her child to study hard for their matric exams, as this is the only real hope out of poverty only to see a report in the newspaper about a matric-less individual earning this much.
Two: a recent unemployed Bcompt graduate poring over job advertisement in the Sunday newspaper only to find out again a matric-less man paid this much.
This reminds me of a story my teacher has poured in class recently about a teacher that was paid an amount of about 1m per year only to find out later he didn't qualify for such position also.
This scenarios in all likelihood make the youngsters despondent and frustrated with a system that for years has been regarded as a benchmark of achievement.

My premise is simple, it is completely unacceptable in a country with so many highly qualified people who are daily looking for jobs and even sometimes settling for less just to make a living only to find out that vacancies are filled with people who aren't even qualified for such positions, it's a shame. I'm falling to understand whose to blame for this!

    This is not a good thing anymore ,because people will be discouraged and they won't focus on their studies ,if it's possible for someone whom doesn't even have a matric certificate to earn a salary of 1m to 2m per year .This will affect the student's overall performance .

    Bribery is what talks these days people in high places expect to be given thousands before they can employ you. So this maybe this is one of those doings, only rich people will be employed.

    This is so unfair how come a person without matric certificate earn this much? kant why are we studding! This will make us this everything come easy we don't need education to better our lives.

    I feel discouraged too, especially now that Accounting is this tough😭🙈... It's as if I am study to become a home girl.

    Nowadays if you don't have connections with people up there, then automatically you'll never see yourself being employed in the position you deserve. Matric certificate have now just became a useless document where bribery money has now become the door to bigger opportunities; sad truth..

    In nowadays, being connected with people and having an ability to bribe are the new qualifications that determine whether you will get a job or not. Having PhDs, Degrees, Honours and experience no longer counts in nowadays.

    The HR was bribed !!! There's no way that they missed such an important detail on his CV. Todays system is such corrupt

    I believe that HR is to be blamed because they did not do necessary checks on the person or they just got paid to hire the person. The sad truth about today's available employment is that it requires connection and how much a person has under their name not on qualifications.

    Nepotism, bribery and cronyism are the reasons for this. People in power are giving unfair advantages to their own families. Money talks these days it is a key to employment. Connection is another way people in power give jobs to their friends.
